The e-commerce is offering flat Rs 2,000 discount on the phone after which the price of the base model of the phone drops to Rs 12,999. This is for the first time that the Redmi Note 5 Pro will sell for a price lower than its MRP.

In addition to the flat Rs 2,000 discount, interested buyer will also be able to get another 10 per cent instant discount on buying the smartphone on shopping with their HDFC debit or credit card. After applying the HDFC offer, the Redmi Note 5 Pro can be bought for Rs 11,699. This is the price of the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The offer is applicable on the 6GB RAM model as well.

In India, Redmi Note 5 Pro is available in two variants. The base model comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage for Rs 14,999, while the top-end version with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage sells for MRP Rs 16,999.

Flipkart is also offering discounts on other Xiaomi products like Redmi 6, Mi Mix 2, Poco F1, and Mi TV 43-inch. After the discount, the Redmi 6 is available for Rs 7199, while the Mi Mix 2 is selling for Rs 22,999. The Poco F1 is also selling for an effective price of Rs 18,899 and lastly, the Mi TV 43-inch is selling for Rs 18,900
